Dave King To Leave Emap

Emap Advertising have today confirmed that Managing Director, Dave King is to leave the company to become Executive Director of The Telegraph Newspaper Group on January 7th 2005.

Paul Keenan, Chief Executive of Emap Consumer Media and Chairman of the Emap Advertising Board will continue to oversee the Emap Advertising business in conjunction with the Emap Advertising Management Team.

Paul Keenan said: “We wish Dave all the best in his new role and recognise his input into the development of Emap Advertising as a brand that stands for innovation, creativity and outstanding customer service. Its people are recognised as among the best in the industry.

I look forward to working even more closely with the strong management team at Emap Advertising. In the forthcoming months, Dee Ford and I will be focused on finding the right replacement for Dave.”

Karen Stacey has been appointed Broadcast Sales Director at Emap Advertising replacing Tim Bleakley who left last month. Previously Karen held the role of Radio Sales Controller and was part of the inaugural team at Emap Advertising.

Dee Ford, Managing Director of Emap Radio , said: "I am really looking forward to working closely with Karen and the Broadcast team at this exciting time. Karen is the ideal person to help us move our radio strategy to the next level and ensure we are delivering creative and highly effective radio solutions for our customers.
