media-festivalThe Media Festival brings together the digital content industries in a way that has never been done before, with delegates descending from TV, film, advertising, online, music, interactive, mobile, brands, games and beyond.

Set against the backdrop of Manchester's new technological innovating MediaCity, last year's line up including presentations from Stephen Carter, the first minister for Broadcasting, Technology and Communication; the controversial ex-Editor of The Sun, Kelvin Mackenzie; John Woodward, CEO of the UK Film Council and Jana Bennett, Head of Vision for BBC. Our chair for the event was Peter Bazalgette, famous for his role in developing formats such as Big Brother and Deal or No Deal for Endemol.

A collaboration between three marketing leading titles; Broadcast (TV), Screen International (Film) and shots (Brands & agencies) as well as support from four partners (MediaCity, Northwest Regional Development Agency, Marketing Manchester and Northwest Vision and Media ), five sponsors (Hill Dickinson, IBM, Channel 4, Red Bee and O2) and 12 media partners, attracted over 500 attendees to last November's launch event.
