About the Role:
You will be responsible for design of one of EMAP’s most well respected business titles – Retail Week. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven designer to become part of a committed and collaborative team who love what they do.
As well as the day to day management of the magazines, you will lead the design of the brand across a wide variety of digital, live and print products. The plethora of the brand’s iterations requires and art editor with a vision for how a publishing brand develops across multiple channels. This is an influential and rewarding role with great long term career opportunities. It’s an exciting time at EMAP as the business is investing in key brands. Imminent launches, new products and investing in digital is a priority.
You will be a highly experienced user of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and preferably have experience of working on digital as well as print products. You must possess a degree in graphic design (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a publishing environment. Whilst it’s not essential to have experience in a B2B publishing, it is important that you have a strong understanding of B2B information brands.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to produce compelling, dynamic layouts in the magazine, develop marketing collateral and oversee the expansion of the brand online whilst adhering to each title’s brand guidelines. Experience of picture editing and manipulation, as well as good communication and excellent organisational skills are essential for this role.
