Retail Week, the leading title for the UK’s £285bn retail industry, is seeking a Reporter to join our busy news desk. Predominantly covering the fashion sector, the successful candidate will also contribute some stories to Retail Week’s sister title Drapers.
As well as breaking big news stories, the role also encompasses some news-led features writing, and profile interviews of industry chief executives and top-level directors.
Applicants should have some news experience, whether at a business to business magazine, local newspaper, or other business news outlet. We’ll be looking for keen news gathering skills, a good grasp of how business works, the confidence to build up relationships with some of the UK’s highest profile business people, and the ability to spot a good story and track it down.
Knowledge of retail is not essential, but a good business sense is. Attending industry events in the evening is an important part of the role and applicants should be willing to do this. Please apply with your salary details.
