We are excited to announce the launch of the Journal of Nursing Leadership (JNL), our new brand created to support and inform nurse and midwifery leaders at every stage of their careers. JNL brings together insight, analysis and practical leadership guidance, covering strategy and policy, people and experiences, innovation and data driven nursing intelligence. It is designed to help leaders navigate the fast changing challenges facing the profession while promoting the ideas that will shape the future of care.

JNL is written by leaders for leaders, giving readers direct access to the expertise of senior figures across the health and care landscape. We have already welcomed a number of well known contributors who bring valuable experience, perspective and grounded advice. Their voices set the tone for what JNL aims to deliver, which is thoughtful guidance from people who understand the realities of modern nursing leadership.

Subscribers also gain full access to Nursing Times, creating a complete package that covers both leadership insight and day to day developments in nursing practice. Whether readers want policy context, innovation stories, career reflections or data led intelligence, JNL brings it together in a format that is clear, useful and relevant.

The launch of JNL follows extensive work behind the scenes, and we want to congratulate the entire team who brought this brand to life. Their editorial vision, digital development work and commitment to producing a high quality specialist resource has already resulted in engaging work on topics such as preparing the AI ready workforce, prevention focused strategies and reflections from respected leaders within the sector.

Steve Ford, founding editor of JNL says “JNL is a space where leaders can stop, think and learn from one another, with insight that helps them make confident, informed decisions”. His vision has shaped the journal into a resource built around clarity, depth and peer wisdom.

At a time when effective nursing leadership is more important than ever, JNL provides a space for reflection, informed debate and practical guidance. We are proud to add this new brand to the emap portfolio and look forward to seeing the impact it will have on leadership across health and care.

Congratulations again to everyone involved in making the Journal of Nursing Leadership a reality.
