Electric bikes are the fastest growing category in cycling and Cycling Electric champions the use of e-bikes and helps consumers make informed choices when buying an e-bike. From the same team that produces Cyclist magazine, Cycling Electric provides information on the types of e-bikes available, explanations of how they work and reviews of the latest models and accessories. It also presents inspirational stories who have saved money, revamped their businesses and transformed their lives by switching to an e-bike. The Cycling Electric portfolio spans print, digital and demo events.

As a Senior Account Manager you will be responsible for contributing to the commercial success of the Cyclist and Cycling Electric brands.

You will be required to devise and implement your own account strategy across a broad patch of cycling and lifestyle clients, maximising revenue across all platforms including print and digital display, advertorial, podcast, and events.

There will also be an expectation for you to cross-sell into brands in the wider Diamond Publishing division including Viz, Fortean Times and Record Collector.

You will be required to offer the highest level of insight, industry knowledge and strategic solutions to your clients.

Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will work closely with the management team to shape the strategy and culture of the Cyclist and Cycling Electric brands.

Key responsibilities:

  • 3-4 years experience with a proven record selling print and digital display, multi-platform content partnerships and events
  • Strong contacts within the cycling industry
  • Interest and understanding of cycling
  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box when devising solutions for your clients
  • Proven track record of delivering on sales targets & increasing YOY revenue
  • Comfortable creating market-leading Powerpoint/Google Slides sales pitches
  • Experienced presenter with the ability to think of and tailor solutions quickly
  • Experience in creating new revenue streams and new opportunities within (and outside of) your immediate business patch
  • An exceptional negotiator, you’ll have a true passion for presenting, building complex creative pitches and closing sales.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven and successful track record of a consultative new business approach
  • Evidence of success in building and managing relationships with key decision makers
  • Education to degree level or equivalent desirable but not essential
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Experienced using CRM
  • Previous experience with a structured sales training method

This exciting position is a full-time hybrid role. 2 days in the office, 3 days from home. This could change over time depending on business needs.
