On Friday 30 June, emap attended the Conference and Events Awards, held together at Old Billingsgate in the City of London, and it was another fantastic awards dinner for our teams and brands.

Having managed to secure ten nominations across eight different categories in the shortlisting phase, it was clear that our entries had a lot of merit. Through the hard work of everyone involved, we were awarded two GOLD awards, and two BRONZE awards!

The GOLD Award for “Best Longstanding Awards Event” went to the Nursing Times Awards, one of our flagship events which is over 30 years old. The awards programme involves hundreds of entrants and judges over a nine month campaign, bringing together over 1,200 nursing professionals at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel each year to celebrate successes in the sector. In their comments, judges praised the event for the important role it plays for our audience. They said they were impressed by the innovation and creativity in event delivery, a content-led marketing strategy which increased entry quality, and a strong sponsor proposition.

Our second GOLD win at the event came for “Awards Event of the Year – Over 600 Attendees”, scooped by Construction News Awards. Another flagship event, 1,300 attendees gathered in July 2022 to celebrate their achievements and network with peers. The event was revamped from previous years and judges praised the category development and detailed judging process. Judges were particularly impressed by strong year on year growth, value for sponsors, and the creativity of our Awards team in refining a long-standing event while taking action on sustainability.

Two BRONZE trophies were also awarded to Nursing Times, for two of our strongest events in the nursing sector. The NT Workforce Summit & Awards took home the bronze for ‘Event of the Year – Over 1000 Attendees’, while Student NT Awards was awarded bronze in the ‘Best Development of an Existing Awards Event’ category.

This event marked the second time in a week that our brands and teams were recognised by industry leaders as the best in the business, and that’s all down to the hard work and effort that is put into serving our audiences every day. Congratulations to all those shortlisted and basking in the glory of their wins!
