Overall Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Account Manager to join our Corporate Subscription team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves building long-term relationships and seeing their clients succeed.
This critical role is responsible for ensuring the successful retention and growth of our corporate client base. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships, maximising client satisfaction, and driving recurring revenue through proactive account management, strategic upselling, and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the entire renewal lifecycle for a designated portfolio of corporate subscription accounts.
- Track key renewal dates and engage with clients well in advance to ensure timely and seamless contract extensions.
- Negotiate renewal terms, pricing, and contract agreements to achieve and exceed renewal rate targets.
- Facilitate a smooth and effective onboarding process for new and renewing corporate clients, ensuring they quickly understand and adopt the full value of their subscription.
- Provide initial training and resource guidance to client teams, setting them up for success from day one.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual benefit.
- Regularly engage with clients to understand their evolving needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.
- Conduct periodic business reviews to demonstrate the ongoing value and return on investment (ROI) derived from their subscription.
- Act as a client advocate, ensuring a positive and consistent experience throughout the subscription journey.
- Proactively identify and address any client concerns or issues, collaborating with internal teams (e.g., support, product) to find swift resolutions.
- Monitor client health and satisfaction metrics to prevent churn and foster loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to upsell clients to higher-tier subscriptions or cross-sell additional products and services that align with their needs.
- Present compelling business cases for expanded solutions, demonstrating clear value propositions.
- Systematically collect, analyse, and report on client feedback, insights, and market trends.
- Provide valuable input to product development, marketing, and sales teams to inform strategic decisions and improve offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, renewal forecasts, and revenue projections within the CRM system.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Account Management, preferably within a corporate subscription, SaaS, or B2B sales environment.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding renewal and growth targets.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of client organisations.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyse data and extract actionable insights to drive client value.
- Understanding of the publishing, SAAS, or data services industry (desirable).
