emap is an award-winning multi-media publishing company working across both the B2B and B2C sectors in the events and subscription space. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the marketing of emap as ‘the place to work within the exciting publishing industry’

You will be a talented marketeer proficient in social media with an entrepreneurial spirit able to promote the benefits of a career within the company across all levels, so we can attract, develop and maintain a workforce who can progress in their careers with us.

You will work closely with Marketing, Recruitment and Editorial teams as well as key management stakeholders to develop and market our key company values.

The candidate will help shape the corporate personality and image of the company, using social media and the emap website as primary drivers of engagement externally. Internally, this role will require the candidate to build strong relationships with stakeholders to help drive that identity beyond the online presence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all emap corporate social media
  • Enhance the emap brand and build strong online presence and engagement
  • Build emap’s corporate personality and brand image
  • Plan and execute online campaigns across all channels
  • Work closely with recruitment/marketing on social media recruitment campaigns
  • Data analysis and KPI reporting
  • Generating traffic to the website, working closely with the emap management team to ensure the brand image represents the company’s values
  • Creating original and creative content for the social media pages and the website which furthers the brand in achieving its goals
  • Collating of content across the business (over 35 brands within the group) to ensure all brands are represented equitably
  • Creating and then executing a detailed content release schedule focused on key events, themes and issues
  • Creation of written, photography, and video content for LinkedIn, Twitter, and the company website (with staged expansions into Facebook, Instagram and YouTube)
  • Attending company events and meeting new clients as well as monitoring competitors will be a part of this role

Skills and Experience: 

  • Excellent written skills (grammar and spelling) including proof-reading ability
  • Project management skills, ie scheduling/planning/deadline creation/proactive nature
  • Basic knowledge of video editing and design software is desirable
  • Good IT Skills: Knowledge of Photoshop (desirable), Adobe Suite (desirable), and Microsoft Suite (essential)
  • Use of Google or Adobe Analytics desirable
  • Competent in web tools: Sprout, Hootsuite etc desirable
  • Commitment to a high standard of customer service
