emap is a leader in the business-to-business media landscape, recognised for its innovative approach to developing media and event solutions. Our Blue Division, home to the Property Week brand and others, specialises in orchestrating high-impact events that engage and influence industry leaders.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Marketing Manager to join our Event Marketing Team on a 10-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover. This role focuses on two major events under the Property Week brand: one of the brand’s most significant annual conferences plus a new event launching in 2024. The successful candidate will create and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at maximising event visibility, delegate sales, and partnership engagement. You would work closely with another event marketing team member to deliver this marketing strategy. That said we’re looking for someone with confidence and highly relevant prior experience at Marketing Manager level to autonomously lead these campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy and campaigns for one of Property Week’s largest conferences and support the launch of a new conference in 2024.
  • Solely focus on these two critical events, delivering targeted and impactful marketing initiatives.
  • Craft compelling, persuasive copy across various marketing channels.
  • Manage and optimise website content for user engagement and conversion.
  • Design and manage detailed paid social media campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, X, and other channels, utilising community marketing techniques to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Maintain an engaging presence on organic social media, building community and interacting with key audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with designers to produce impactful visual content.
  • Develop strong relationships with industry associations to enhance event exposure.
  • Utilise data analytics and audience segmentation to strategically tailor marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in conference, exhibition, or B2B event marketing at marketing manager level.
  • Strong ability to independently strategise and execute marketing campaigns for high-profile events.
  • Expertise in managing social media campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, X, and others, with a focus on leveraging community marketing for extensive and relevant audience reach.
  • Excellent copywriting skills for creating engaging content across various channels.
  • Experience in partnership management, capable of nurturing and expanding association and commercial partnerships.
  • Proficient in multiple marketing channels and tools, ensuring effective campaign execution.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

What We Offer:

  • A role with significant impact on major industry events and the opportunity to be involved in launching an innovative new conference.
  • Engagement with top industry professionals and leading brands in the commercial property space.
  • A dynamic and supportive environment that promotes professional growth and innovation.

Application Process:

Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume.

Stage 1 interviews will be conducted remotely over teams.

Stage 2 interviews will be conducted in-person at our offices in East Croydon where a task will be set in advance for you to complete and present.

No further stages – we’re looking for a candidate to start end April / early May.
