emap’s Blue Division encompasses a range of B2B brands, ranging from property to audiovisual, from electronics to education and petrochemicals. The role would be primarily focused on our Property Week group subscribers.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

As our subscriptions sales executive you will help to develop and execute the subscriptions sales strategy, ensuring your sales efforts drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenues to exceed revenue targets and create long-term value.

You will generate revenue from new business, renewals and winbacks. You will also be responsible for nurturing client relationships throughout the subscription term to drive engagement, gain incremental sales during the year with new users and grow existing client subscriptions year-on-year across our award-winning property news brand.  You will work closely with the subscriptions marketing manager and group sales manager, as well as editorial and other commercial sales teams to develop and execute the subscription product strategy and drive revenue.

As Subscriptions Sales Executive you will have the potential to have long term impact on the performance of the brands.  Property Week group subscriptions are an increasingly important part of the subscriptions mix now and growing into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve personal sales target for monthly, quarterly, and yearly group subscription renewals, and new business
  • Execute the sales strategy, ensuring maximum delivery against sales targets for Property Week
  • Nurture existing customers and leads with regular personal contacts via phone and email – and in person at key customers’ locations from time to time
  • Proactively generate leads through all available channels, and follow up on all leads provided by marketing and organic inbound enquiries
  • Answer existing and perspective customer enquiries and provide customer service solutions in regard to their subscriptions
  • Hold yourself accountable against targets, best practice of pipeline management on the CRM, emap behaviors, and activity KPIs
  • Work with the subscription marketing manager on new product opportunities and business plans
  • Have a deep understanding of the information needs of current and potential customers
  • Regularly feedback insight gained from the marketplace back to the relevant stakeholders across the division – from weekly sales and marketing meetings to annual brand reviews
  • Forecast revenues in a timely and accurate fashion including pipeline management
  • Highlight successes and potential areas for concern in good time
  • Give input into budget forecasts and presentations

Skills and Experience:

  • Sales orientated with a consultative style
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A rigorous sales process and strong sales pipeline management, using CRM tools
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a b2b media business
  • Experience of key account management
  • Experience of corporate/group subscriptions sales preferred
  • Ability to work closely with other senior colleagues and achieve results through influence

This exciting position is a full-time hybrid role. 2 days in the office, 3 days from home. This could change over time depending on business needs.

Remote working or visa sponsorship are not available. emap does not offer visa sponsorship. Based on the UK employment law you need to have valid right to work in UK. Share code will be required during the interview process.
