Each year, our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Team take on a challenge to raise funds for a chosen charity. This year, the team, joined by colleagues from across the business and Murphy the dog, tackled the iconic Seven Sisters coastal trail in support of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
On 4 September, through rain, wind and bursts of sunshine, the group powered through 22 km of steep climbs and rugged views. It was a tough journey, but the camaraderie and determination saw everyone through.
We’re thrilled to share that together we’ve raised over £3,500 so far to support CALM’s life-saving work. Every penny will go towards helping CALM continue to reach people when they need it most.
CALM is a UK-based suicide prevention charity dedicated to offering support, hope and help to anyone who is struggling or in crisis. With NHS mental health services under significant pressure and often underfunded, charities like CALM play a vital role in filling the gap. Their work keeps helplines open, provides webchat services and offers online resources that people can turn to in their most difficult moments. By taking on this challenge, we hope to help CALM continue offering this crucial support and ensure more people have somewhere to turn in times of crisis.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared the word and cheered us on. Your generosity truly makes a difference. Donations are still open, and every contribution helps CALM continue to provide support for people in need.
