Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the theme was “Movement: moving more for mental health” focussing on the benefits of moving more for our mental health.

Regular physical activity is known to improve mental health, quality of life, and wellbeing. One of the most important things we can do to help protect our mental health is regular movement. Our bodies and our minds are connected, so looking after ourselves physically also helps us prevent problems with our mental health.

As this year’s theme is movement, the emap Mental Health First Aid Team set our colleagues the challenge of submitting our best photos, old or new, that includes “movement”.

All entries were then rated out of 10 by a panel of judges in an attempt to find the winners of our cash prizes

1st Place – £50 Voucher

2nd Place – £30 Voucher

3rd Place – £20 Voucher

Congratulations to the very deserving winners, and a well done to everyone who took the time to submit photos. Lastly, watch this space for a forthcoming announcement on our MHFA Teams much anticipated annual charity event for 2024!
